This past week

This past week, it seems, flew by!

Bowen got his results back from the LSAT and he just sent in the papers for admission. We're keeping our fingers crossed that he gets into USD!
I started training for my new job at Nightingale music. I'm going to be teaching a few music classes a week to kids around Masons age. I'm excited! It's going to be so much fun. I wish I could just bring Mase along, but since I can't I've arranged a co-op with another mom so that I don't have to pay a babysitter. I'll just watch her daughter a few hours a week instead.
There was a fireside on Friday and the BYU football team put it on. A few of the players and the coach spoke. It was so neat to hear their stories and testimonies. Afterwards, Bowen made me get a picture with Max Hall, the QB, who's supposed to be going pro next year. Pretty cool! It was a little awkward taking a picture with him because 1. I'm married. 2. He's married. 3. His pregnant wife was standing right there next to us. 4. I didn't even know who he was. I guess I need to brush up on my BYU roster eh? Ha Ha!

Saturday started out with, you guessed it, FOOTBALL! Mason says football anytime the TV is on. He's pretty much obsessed. When I finally tore my boys away from the game we headed Bowens boss's daughters birthday party. It was nice to see that group of friends. Mason had fun running around pointing at the balloons and saying, "boone" He eventually got a hold of one and would NOT let it go. There was one of those huge, blow-up jumpers there too which he had fun in as well. Of course there was the football game on and our last 10 minutes there were spent screaming at Florida to get their act together and win the game...which they did. And we were grateful.

About a month ago Bowen was on a committee that arranged a family day at the ship yard. There was over 7,000 people there and it was a huge success. The president of NASSCO, Fred, wanted to thank those people by taking them and their significant others out to dinner. We went to this nice place called Il Fornaio. It's in Coronado overlooking the water and downtown. Lucky us, we were able to sit right by him and his wife. Our whole table was trading stories and laughing. It was a very good night. Bowen and I left that night feeling great about the job that he has. Things at work have been going really well for him and we both feel that right now this is where Bowen is supposed to be working. We picked up Mason from the babysitters and headed home for a good nights rest.

On our way home Mason fell asleep. I noticed that he crosses his legs just like Bowen does when he falls asleep sitting up. It was so funny! He's such a mini Bowen!

Sunday was awesome too. Church as usual. Mason sat on my lap during relief society and ate skittles. I know, I shouldn't be feeding him sugar like that, but he was quiet the whole time and I actually was able to listen to the lesson. Yesssss! That evening we had FHE at the Braziers. Ernie and Julie were so sweet to have all of the people from our "Younger, under 40, married and non married Sunday school class" over. Food was delicious and company was great!

Yesterday for our Monday outing we went to the Pumpkin Station in Mission Valley. Mason picked out his pumpkins, we took a couple of pictures, and headed home. Today I Mase and I carved one of the pumpkins and it didn't really work out the way I'd hoped, but oh well. It's sitting on our porch anyway.

My handsome boys posing with pumpkins

I tried to get a picture, but Mason was interested in the petting zoo animals instead

Picking out the perfect pumpkin.

It's been a good week!
