Great, Wonderful, Awesome News!!!

We're getting a house!!! Yay! We'll be right in Pacific Beach (only about 5 miles from where we live now) walking distance from the elementary school. We officially went into escrow on Friday. So, if everything else goes right we should close in about a month or less. Oh we are soooo excited! As soon as I get a chance I'll post some pics. I still don't want to get my hopes up just in case, heaven forbid, something goes wrong, but I can't help it!!! We spent our Friday night browsing furniture stores and daydreaming how we're going to furnish our new home. *ahhh* After a strong reality check of how much new furnishings are we met up with Bowens friend from high school, Aaron, and his wife, Michelle. We went to dinner at Sammy's woodfire pizza, then called it a night.
The next day Bowen had to go into work for a couple hours. By the time I got us all ready for the beach, he was already home. There we met up again with Aaron and Michelle. I played with Mason while they surfed. It started to get a little bit too cold for Mase so we went and sat in the car and jammed out to music while we waited for them to finish up surfing. I was able to get a couple cute pics, though, while it was still warm enough. Now this is just proof that Mason is already training for football. He knows Tim Teebow isn't taking a break from training and neither is he! Push ups 1,2,3,4......

I know he's only 8 month old, but he's already posing for the camera.

Tired daddy after a long days work...of surfing! Just taking random pictures I don't know why, but Mason is on this head shaking kick. I think he just likes the way everything looks when he does it. This was an abnormally happy dinner time :)

Small, small, small

Our apartment seems to be getting smaller by the day. We've come to the point where we've pretty much outgrown it. We've actully put in an offer for a house in Pacific Beach and we're just waiting to hear back from the realtors. I'm crossing my fingers! yay! It's a little 2 bedroom with a fenced back yard so Mason can play with his trucks and, of course, football with his daddy. :) It's too dang expensive to live here! Holy Cow!

Supercross Valentines <3

This weekend was most excellent! Bowen was here (he'll never live down last year when on Valentines Day he left to go snowboarding) so that was a plus! Ha ha! Baby, if you read this you know I'm just teasing! It was a very wondeful Valentines Day! We had a wonderful young women from our ward babysit Mason while we went to...are you ready?....Supercross!!! Yes, we went to the Supercross motercycle races for Valentines Day and it was AWESOME! Although, it kind of made me homesick for riding four wheelers at Sand Mountain. We had just decided to put the money that we were going to spend on eachother into one big present for the both of us. I'd say it worked out nicely :) Plus, we don't have room for any more "stuff" and memories are a whole lot more cherished. Thank you Bowen! Oh I love my husband :)

What's even more great is that Mason was sound asleep when we got home. Thanks Jessica! He slept all through the night so we were all refreshed for church this morning.

Speaking of church, in our class the teachers brought chocolate chip cookies. For some insane reason I thought it would be a good idea for mason to taste it.

This was the end result

He literally had chocolate from head to toe. Ha ha! It was pretty funny until he realized the cookie was gone. Then he was mad! So, needless to say, we didn't make it through the rest of Relief Society.

Like I had mentioned before, he is getting closer and closer to crawling every day. Here is a glimpse of the first day he realized he could scoot. I was told he's like a merman on dry land.

Another great Saturday

Yesterday we decided to venture out to east county to go the shooting range. The news had warned that there was going to be rain this weekend, but the sun was shining bright. Well, the further away we got away from home, the darker the clouds got. Then came the rain. It was pouring!!! We had to pull off the road it was so bad. As we were waiting for that to subside, it got worse! It started hailing! We felt no mercy from Mother Nature as she shot pea sized ice balls at our car. Mason loved it. He couldn't figure out what was happening but it sounded cool. We soon realized it was going to be a while before it cleared up, so we decided to get some lunch. Mmmm...Rubios! While enjoying our fish tacos we realized we didn't quite know what town we were in, but it looked like a great area. The rain had cleared out enough to drive, so we spent a good portion of the afternoon driving around in, what we learned was, Rancho San Diego. It was quite fun to just explore the place that we live and get a feel for what other towns are close by. After our little exploring expedition, we headed to the shooting range. Bowen was the best one in the group! Thanks, Coach, for teaching him those great skills! I got to shoot a round as well. It was so much fun, but I am definitely rusty in the shooting category.

Here's Bowen the Great and his excellent trap shooting skills.
Just as we were finishing up, it started to pour again. Perfect timing! We got in the car and headed home. What a day! I fixed some spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.
Mason tried spaghettiand couldn't quite figure it out. As soon as he would grab a noodle it would slip out of his hand and land right on my freshly cleaned floor :) I think he got a little frustrated, but managed to get some into his mouth...or at least near his mouth...
What another WONDERFUL Saturday spent with my family! I love my boys!
Mason is developing such a personality. The other night we were getting ready for bed and he was being such a goof! Every time I would ask him if I could give him a kiss, he would shake his head like NO WAY! I was laughing hysterically!

Frozen Yogurt

Apparently the new "thing" is frozen yogurt. It's the "healthier" option instead of Cold Stone or Baskin Robbins. (I personally don't think that's true) Frozen Yogurt places are popping up left and right here. And, well, a new yogurt place just a block and a half away had it's grand opening today. Bowen and I couldn't resist. It was delicious, I'm not going to lie. I do believe this is going to be a real problem for us. For all those who haven't tried it, do it! You too, will become hooked! hmmm... Anyways, we got our treat, came home, put Mason to bed, and watched The Office as we enjoyed the sweet sensation on our tastebuds. What a great evening! Oh by the way, does anyone have suggestions on what to do for a teething, crazy, baby monster??? I don't know what I'm going to do with that kid. Hopefully those little pearly whites come through soon!

Super Bowl Sunday

It's been a very lazy afternoon...so relaxing! We just stayed home for the game and I made Super Bowl Brownies for my man (they're his favorite) I kind of feel bad for Bowen because football is over. I think I may be a little bit sad myself. Oh well, it'll come again soon. I do have the best husband! He supports me with whatever crazy thing I do. I'm currently in the process of refinishing our entertainment center. Everything that was in or on it is now strung across the living room. Now for all that know Bowen he is a very organized person. Everything has a place. I know he wanted me to finish that yesterday but it'll look so good when it's done! I can't believe the weekend is over...I can't believe January is over! Holy cow this year is going to fly by!

Mason just waking up for the day
